Tour

Get involved in Vernon's Arts and Culture scene! Participate in art workshops, attend demonstrations, explore art exhibits, exchange works of art, and make your mark on a community art project. Learn about Vernon's history and local culture through heritage exhibits, film, and workshops and engage in activities that support truth and reconciliation. Our Arts in Action Hub of activities and events takes place at various locations over 30 days between September 24 and October 24. All events are free, or pay as you may. ACNO's Cultural hub partners include the Vernon Community Arts Centre, the Greater Vernon Museum & Archives, Gallery Vertigo, the Vernon Public Art Gallery, and the Vernon & District Performing Arts Centre. Follow the Arts Council of the Okanagan at www.acno.ca for more events as they get added throughout the month.

  • Karen Oliver - painting en plein air on the Okanagan Rail Trail
  • 10 Minutes at the Torch allows participants to try their hand at glass beadmaking with Instructor Patricia Doyle
  • A La Canvas invites you to your favourite restaurants to watch artists in action as you enjoy an evening meal.
  • Arts in Action is for all ages and abilities and allows people to explore new art forms. Adults especially benefit from re-engaging with the creative process if they haven't allowed themselves to play and paint like a kid.
