Join us on Saturday, September 25th at the Vernon Community Arts Centre for Art Journaling with Gail Short. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the art of Sketchbook Journaling. Gail Short will exhibit examples of the journals she has created over the years and share her experiences in making them. Appropriate for anyone 12 and older. Materials will be provided for you to make your own journal to take home with you. Workshop is free. Donations are welcome and support community arts programming. The Vernon Community Arts Centre focuses on arts education for people of all ages and abilities, and showcases the work of local artists. It is also home to the administrative offices of the Arts Council of the North Okanagan, the non-profit society that operates the Centre. The Arts Centre offers a variety of classes, camps and workshops for beginner, intermediate and professional artists. Specialist Studios are available for members, allowing them access to tools, and equipment for pottery, glass arts, printmaking and a variety of 2D artforms such as painting and drawing. We showcase and sell local art and carry a selection of art supplies.
