About

Watch local artist Christine Kashuba turn fresh blooms and greens into works of art. From a selection of flowers, stems and leaves she will demonstrate the process of pounding organic materials into pre-treated fabric with a hammer. Watch in awe as nature releases its natural dyes and colours!

Vernon Community Arts Centre

The Vernon Community Arts Centre focuses on arts education for people of all ages and abilities, and showcases the work of local artists. It is also home to the administrative offices of the Arts Council of the North Okanagan, the non-profit society that operates the Centre.

The Arts Centre offers a variety of classes, camps and workshops for beginner, intermediate and professional artists. Specialist Studios are available for members, allowing them access to tools, and equipment for pottery, glass arts, printmaking and a variety of 2D artforms such as painting and drawing. We showcase and sell local art and carry a selection of art supplies.
