Transport yourself and family with a magical outdoor journey into Synesthesia. Watch beautiful live music from composer Jeff Collinson transform into stunning large-screen video projection. Dream of what you might see if you could turn music into light, as you relax under the stars.
Join us after sunset for an unforgettable outdoor evening of entertainment & musical culture in MacDonald Pavilion and yard at the Elora Centre for the Arts. Generative artist Gord Harris transforms the electronic improv music of Composer keyboardist Jeff Collinson into exploding galaxies of light, motion, and colour with his real-time control of computer visual simulations.
“Not all art must be static like paintings or statues” says Harris. “Creating digital, real-time images from live music is a unique and immersive experience that’s engaging for all ages”.
Come enjoy your own "midsummer night dream" on Friday September 20th at dusk. Gates open at 8PM, show starts when dark, and ends at approximately 10pm. Rain date is Saturday September 21st, same time, and place.
This is a family and kid-friendly event with pay-as-you-may admission. Please bring your own chairs, blankets, drinks/snacks for the concert show. Harris’s recent immersive show “Journey to the Metaverse” in the gallery at the Elora Centre for the Arts received rave reviews from the 2,179 people who visited during the 6-week show:
