About

This year our theme will be 'Acceptance,' which will be shown in the following way:

Sonnets of Walter Benjamin, written between WW I and WW II, have been translated by Carl Skoggard from German into English and set to music by Peter Skoggard. These will be sung by a baritone and tenor, accompanied by piano. A Q & A period will follow this section.

Following these songs, Peter Skoggard's musical settings of poems by e. e. cummings will be performed, including a jazz singer. Finally, works of Kurt Weill will be sung.

Finger food and drinks will be served after the performance so guests can mingle.

Note: Most musicians are from the local area. So far Alan Macdonald has been chosen as baritone and will be involved in selecting other voices.
