The City of Parksville is pleased to offer 5 exciting Events to celebrate B.C. Culture Days 2022 from September 23rd through October 17th in our beautiful Oceanside Community. We have a carefully curated group of events that will be exciting, colourful, musical, visual, cultural and flat out FUN for all ages. In collaboration with our sponsors, The McMillan Arts Centre, the Oceanside Community Arts Council, and the Bayside Oceanfront Resort, we will be kicking off Culture Days with the opening of the “Tik Tok© Short Doc Film Festival” on Friday, September 23rd at the McMillan Arts Centre. Saturday, September 24th, our Art Banner Crawl, a treasure hunt with a twist, opens in the Downtown Business District. On Sunday, September 25th we are happy to present our Ukrainian Culture Fest at the new Seaside Auditorium in the Parksville Community & Conference Centre featuring a Ukrainian Headdress Making hands-on workshop followed with a performance by the Ukrainian Dance Troupe, the “Vesna Dancers”. We begin the month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with the opening of a super creative display of BeDazzled Bras in the Atrium at the Parksville City Hall on Saturday October 1st.

And last, but certainly not least, we will celebrate the unveiling of the 15 collaborative paintings created by our Exquisite Corpse Artistic Team with an Evening Gala at the gorgeous Bayside Oceanfront Resort on Saturday, October 15th. This will be an evening to remember. An awards ceremony/ auction/art/music/food/fashion event, and even a special Exquisite Corpse Cocktail.

All events are by donation so we welcome everyone to join us as we celebrate the Arts & Culture of our vibrant and diverse country, Canada, our exceptionally beautiful province, British Columbia, and our beloved Island Home by the Seaside, Parksville.
