About

The BeDazzled Bra Project is a community based project to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the Oceanside Community. All community members are invited to create a Bedazzled Bra in memory of, or in celebration of, someone that has been affected by breast cancer.

Decorate Bras in any imaginative way you can think of with a group of friends or family members and bring them to the McMillan Arts Centre before 2 pm on Wednesday, September 28th. Volunteers at the M.A.C. will create the display in the Atrium at City Hall and the full collection of BeDazzled Bras will be exhibited from October 1st through October 30th. There will be a Donation Box in the Atrium and all donations will be given to a local individual or family that is presently dealing with breast cancer. Gather your group of crafters together and be creative to show your support!

Oceanside Community Culture Days

The Oceanside Community Culture Days Group consists of the City of Parksville, The McMillan Arts Centre also known as, the M.A.C. and the Oceanside Community Arts Council. The M.A.C. is the jewel in the Oceanside Community Arts Council’s crown. It embodies everything that a true community arts centre should be. Year round the M.A.C. is the bustling centre for all things Arts & Culture in our Oceanside community as well as a destination “must visit” for thousands of tourists that flock to Parksville in the warm Summer season. There are 3 Galleries located inside the M.A.C. along with a Digital Gallery and a fabulous Gift Shop that is filled with unique works by local Artists & Artisans. There are Exhibitions in the Galleries throughout the year, an ongoing series of Arts & Craft Classes, Poetry Readings, Music Classes, Dance Groups, Chorale Groups, and more. It’s all happening at the M.A.C. Activities for everyone from children to our seniors are plentiful and diverse.
