This Culture Days, join us in exploring how creativity and connectivity can help support your mental health and wellness. Research shows that engaging in artmaking and culture is beneficial for improving overall health, managing depression and anxiety, and reducing stress and isolation. According to Hill Strategies, 62% of Canadians who participate in arts, culture, and heritage activities are more likely to report very good health than those who do not engage in creative activities.

As part of the BC Culture Days CARE (Community Arts Reimagining Equity & Wellness) Series, six artists from across B.C. are offering fun, inclusive, and participatory arts and cultural activities in their communities, and you’re invited to take part.

Whether you’re looking to connect with others, discover a new art form, or express yourself creatively, you can feel safe and supported in a journey towards improved mental health and wellbeing through these free, creative events in Vancouver, Burnaby, Victoria, Valemount, and Fort St. James.

At each CARE Series event, a mental health professional will be available onsite as an active listener for participants when needed. Any Pay-What-You-May donations will support local mental health or equity-based charities. Join us from September 19 to October 12, 2025.
