Join us on September 30 for activities in recognition National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

New this year is the Métis History Walk. This walk features a series of informative signs, which take us through the history of the Métis people from origin to modern day. Events that happened here in Saskatchewan are featured, as well as events that happened elsewhere on Turtle Island that effected life here.

Still featured will be the original Treaty 4 Timeline, which takes participants through Indigenous history from pre-contact to modern day, with events that happened here in Treaty 4 territory but also events that happened elsewhere on Turtle Island that effected life here.

After our walk, head over to Collabartive Studios to take part in their Medicine Wheel Workshop.

Weyburn Art Gallery

The Weyburn Art Gallery is a public art gallery located within the Credit Union Spark Centre. The gallery focuses on visual art exhibitions. Working with the Credit Union Spark Centre, the Weyburn Art Gallery organizes and facilitates a variety of art and craft classes offered by the City of Weyburn. The Weyburn Art Gallery also works closely with the Weyburn Arts Council to create public art works in our city, as well as organizing a variety of art events held throughout Weyburn.

WAG's mandate is to promote, support and encourage the arts by providing a diverse range of opportunities that increase awareness, understanding, curiosity, debate, education, and knowledge.
