Radiant Fractures explores divergence through repeating, fracturing, and radiating patterns on woven and printed surfaces. Through hand weaving and screen printing, the work explores how structure embodies both order and disruption, transforming repetition into an act of resistance rather than a means of resolution. Central to this inquiry is the pixelated pomegranate—an ancient symbol digitally abstracted, fragmented, and repeated across materials. Once tied to myth, thresholds, and transformation, it becomes a modular code: a point from which patterns radiate, mutate, and diverge. Its form is reduced to geometry, then reassembled through texture and process, embodying both continuity and rupture within visual structure.

Amanda Wood is an interdisciplinary artist based on the unceded territories of the xwməθkwəyə̓ m (Musqueam), Sḵwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh)Nations (Vancouver, BC). Working across alternative photography, printmaking, and hand weaving, her materially grounded practice centers on repetition and tactile experience within marginal and in-between spaces.
