About
Experience the pulse of global percussion at the 5th Annual International Drumming Festival, curated by GRAMMY-winning artist Larnell Lewis and Joy Lapp Lewis, and proudly presented by The Rose. This one-of-a-kind celebration brings together rhythm, culture, and community in a vibrant, high-energy weekend that’s as inspiring as it is inclusive.
Designed to spotlight emerging and early-career artists, the festival offers an exciting mix of hands-on drum workshops, mainstage performances, and an immersive vendor marketplace showcasing Afro-Caribbean and Black diasporic communities. Audiences of all ages can dive into interactive programming, including dance workshops, a Rising Stars showcase with mentorship from Larnell Lewis, and sensory-friendly concerts created in partnership with Xenia Concerts—ensuring everyone can participate comfortably.
This year’s festival is headlined by the legendary Questlove, performing with local musicians and the Flow Fest Band led by Larnell Lewis. Beyond the evening concert, the festival deepens its community impact with meaningful initiatives: a free youth workshop with Questlove, 100 complimentary community tickets to the headline show, and numerous opportunities for local artists and businesses!
Presented in collaboration with partners including KGroup and Xenia Concerts, the festival is a free, accessible, and deeply engaging experience for the community. All programming is free except for the highly anticipated mainstage evening concert.
