About

Join us at the Ladysmith Gallery on Saturday, October 4 and 5, from 11 AM to 3 PM for a special Art Pop-Up Show and Sale—celebrating island artists. This event will feature a selection of juried fine artisans from the region, offering a unique opportunity to shop original artwork, connect directly with the makers, and support local talent.

Whether you're looking for a meaningful gift or a new piece for your home, you'll find one-of-a-kind art in a welcoming gallery setting.

As a bonus, this event also serves as the art preview and social for the gallery’s latest exhibition. Visitors can enjoy light refreshments, mingle with artists and fellow art lovers, and get a first look at the new show on display. Our holiday art boutique will also be open!

Organizer

Arts Council of Ladysmith & District/Ladysmith Gallery

The Arts Council of Ladysmith and District (ACLD) is the central hub for visual arts in Ladysmith and surrounding areas. Our mission is to enhance the vitality of the artistic community through education, exhibition, and engagement. With the vision that Art is Here!, we aim to create inclusive, accessible, and inspiring artistic experiences for all.

Year-round, we offer monthly exhibitions at the Ladysmith Gallery—open to member artists from across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands—as well as feature shows, a boutique of locally made art, and guest artist displays. Our thriving arts education program offers workshops and classes for all ages and skill levels, led by professional artists.

In addition to exhibitions and education, we host major community events like our juried Arts on the Avenue festival and continually work to support, connect, and celebrate local artists. We are proud to operate on the traditional territory of the Stz'uminus First Nation and are committed to sharing and honouring the diverse cultures of our region.
