About
Celebrate the artists whose creativity has shaped the world in Homage to Famous Artists, an inspiring exhibition where local artists pay tribute to renowned masters through original works of art. From the bold colours of Impressionism and the expressive brushwork of Post-Impressionism to the innovation of modern and contemporary art, visitors will discover fresh interpretations inspired by some of history's most influential artists.
Homage to Famous Artists invites visitors to experience a fresh perspective on some of history's most celebrated creative minds. Through original paintings, sculpture, photography, ceramics, textiles, and more, local artists from across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands pay tribute to the vision, techniques, and lasting influence of renowned artists while expressing their own unique voices. This exhibition offers an arts and culture experience, revealing how the great works of the past continue to spark creativity, conversation, and artistic innovation today.

Arts Council of Ladysmith and District
The Arts Council of Ladysmith and District (ACLD) is more than a gallery — it’s the creative heartbeat of our community. We bring artists and art lovers together to create, connect, and celebrate creativity throughout Ladysmith and beyond. Our mission is to enhance the vitality of the artistic community through education, exhibition, and engagement — enriching lives, fostering inclusion, and inspiring imagination at every level.
Located in the heart of downtown Ladysmith, the Ladysmith Gallery hosts two art exhibitions each month, a membership exhibition and a guest artist exhibition. The gallery also houses a boutique of smaller artworks from over 50 artisans.
