About

Celebrating leadership, dedication and community involvement in Oakville! The Community Spirit Awards are presented annually to individuals, organizations, businesses and community groups who have demonstrated ongoing leadership, dedication and involvement in Oakville.

Each year one local artist is commissioned to create unique, one-of-a-kind artworks. These artworks are given to award recipients, and one artwork is added to the town’s permanent collection. The commissioned artworks are individual pieces that reflect each of the award categories: Arts, Culture and Heritage; Climate Action; Good Neighbour; Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility; Inspiration; and Leadership and Innovation.

This exhibition includes artists who have made artworks for the awards over the past 5 years.
