About
October 1 - 22, 10 AM - 4 PM daily. The Ladysmith Gallery presents Giving Thanks—a heartfelt exhibition that showcases the creativity and talent of artists from Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. As part of our monthly member show series, this exhibition brings together a diverse range of styles and mediums, all exploring the theme of gratitude, appreciation, and reflection.
Visitors can expect to see original paintings, ceramics, photography, textiles, and more—each piece offering a personal take on what it means to give thanks. Whether it’s a tribute to nature, a moment of personal growth, or a gesture of community connection, every artwork tells a unique story.
Hosted by the Arts Council of Ladysmith and District, this exhibition supports local artists by providing a professional platform to exhibit and sell their work. It’s a chance for the public to engage with the regional arts scene, discover new voices, and maybe even take home a meaningful work of art.

Arts Council of Ladysmith & District/Ladysmith Gallery
The Arts Council of Ladysmith and District (ACLD) is the central hub for visual arts in Ladysmith and surrounding areas. Our mission is to enhance the vitality of the artistic community through education, exhibition, and engagement. With the vision that Art is Here!, we aim to create inclusive, accessible, and inspiring artistic experiences for all.
Year-round, we offer monthly exhibitions at the Ladysmith Gallery—open to member artists from across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands—as well as feature shows, a boutique of locally made art, and guest artist displays. Our thriving arts education program offers workshops and classes for all ages and skill levels, led by professional artists.
In addition to exhibitions and education, we host major community events like our juried Arts on the Avenue festival and continually work to support, connect, and celebrate local artists. We are proud to operate on the traditional territory of the Stz'uminus First Nation and are committed to sharing and honouring the diverse cultures of our region
