The Arts Council of the North Okanagan is proud to host the Opening Ceremonies for BC Culture Days. Come on down to Polson Park on Friday September 23rd, and help us kick off this year's provincial celebrations! Opening Ceremonies will feature a traditional welcome, provincial proclamation, local artists, and cultural organizations from the region. This will be followed by a hub of free interactive events for all ages including workshops, collaborative art projects, panel discussions, tours and performances that will continue on until October 16th. Detailed schedule of events will be announced soon. Stay tuned for updates.

The Arts Council of the North Okanagan is a registered charity and not-for-profit organization, dedicated to enriching arts and culture in Greater Vernon. The ACNO has two branches - Community Development, and the Vernon Community Arts Centre. ACNO promotes hundreds of events throughout the year, provides opportunities for artists to show and sell their work, delivers arts education through the Vernon Community Arts Centre, and acts as an ambassador on behalf of all community arts based initiatives. “We believe that arts and culture are an essential component of community development”
