About
In this artist led workshop, participants will learn how to create a layered watercolour background inspired by Hyedie's vibrant artworks featured in the doorways of Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre. Using simple techniques, you will explore how to build depth and texture with washes, blending, and colour layering to evoke natural landscapes and habitats. Then stamp pollinator images like bees and butterflies on top! While painting, there will be discussion about local pollinators. Everyone leaves with a unique piece to take home. All skill levels welcome!
