The Town of Oakville’s Connextions 2026 project brings together a dynamic group of artists to create site‑specific public artworks that celebrate community, place, and creative exchange.

This year’s program features and launches visual striking works by Mikael Sandblom, Tara Chadwick, Clea Christakos-Gee, Alison Postma, Nicole Beno, Kyungmin Kate Lee, Susan Dobson and Jidong Mao. Each contributing a unique visual language shaped by photography, installation, and material experimentation.

Their projects transform community spaces across Oakville, offering residents and visitors immersive encounters with contemporary art while highlighting the diverse perspectives that make up the region’s cultural landscape.

• Thaw by Nicole Beno at Sixteen-Mile Sports Complex,

• When Water Holds the Sun by Susan Dobson at the Glen Abbey Community Centre,

• Destination by Kyungmin Kate Lee at the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre,

• The Attentive Horizon by Mikael Sandblom at Oakville Trafalgar Community Centre,

• The Album by Clea Christakos-Gee at Trafalgar Park Community Centre,

• The Tree of Life by Jidong Mao at Sir John Colborne, and

• Matriarchs Arise by Tara Chadwick at the Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre.
