Organizer

Yuan Yin Group

Yuan Yin Group's journey commenced in 1920, founded by a cohort of professors aiming to bridge communities through music and arts while safeguarding China's intangible heritage. A decade ago, the third generation expanded this legacy globally, establishing Canadian and German divisions with a visionary outlook: "Today's Music and Arts Create Another 100 Years' Cultural Heritage."Our commitment lies in sharing our fervor for music with audiences and students alike. Annually, we lead over 300 performers and volunteers to amplify the impact of music collaborations and diverse cultural heritage. Our endeavors include:• Recording GuZheng and Qin music for the Grammy-nominated album "Asia Beauty" in 2016.• Organizing an annual fund-raising concert, with proceeds donated to SickKids and local communities.• Curating a featured program for Asian Heritage Month at Halton Community Classroom Online.• Pioneering the Youth Leadership in Music and Health program in collaboration with University of Toronto's Music Department faculty in 2020. This initiative promotes meaningful youth engagement and leadership through accessible, sustainable, and high-quality music programs.
