About

This interactive session introduces participants to the rich world of Indian classical art forms, where storytelling comes alive through expressive movement, rhythm, music, and gesture. Rooted in ancient traditions, Indian classical dance uses codified hand gestures(mudras) & facial expressions(abhinaya) and footwork to narrate stories drawn from mythology, nature, and everyday life. Participants will experience how emotion and rhythm seamlessly blend to communicate powerful themes such as devotion, courage, love and harmony. It will include a short demonstration of storytelling techniques, an introduction to symbolic gestures, and guided participation where attendees can learn simple expressive movements.

This activity is designed for all ages and It offers a culturally enriching opportunity to explore how Indian classical arts preserve heritage while remaining relevant and engaging for contemporary audiences. Join us to discover how movement becomes language and rhythm becomes story.
