Film Screening of Back Home Again and Community celebration that zeros in on the Ashling Road, Dolley Varden Way & Pierce Way Fire Smart Neighborhood. See an animated short film, meet Ember the FireSmart mascot, drop by the pop-up photo booth. Join the crew of the Dashwood Fire department to learn more about how to be FireSmart. There will be a snack concession run by the Corcan Meadowood Residence Association. Free draws, with giveaways of useful FireSmart resources. Learn more about grab and go bags and emergency preparedness. Come one come all to celebrate our Fire Smart community.

Diane Moran is a retired Recreation Leader II and Visual Artist residing in Qualicum Beach BC. She has been active with community and public arts for over 30 years. Since moving to Qualicum during the Heat Dome of 2021. She has worked in partnership with the Dashwood Fire Department to learn more about FireSmart programs and safety for the community. Diane's mandate and vision find innovative ways to educate using arts and culture to provide meaningful engagement and public awareness projects. Sometimes focused on humanitarian efforts, environmental awareness, conservation, public safety and mental health advocacy
