North Okanagan Culture Days proudly launches with our free two‑day Sundog Festival of Arts and Culture, our official kick‑off event for Culture Days in Vernon. We are thrilled to bring this celebration of creativity, community, and culture back this year. Sundog Fest features a lively mix of live music, hands‑on art activities, the Polson Artisan Market, food trucks, youth‑led workshops, cultural showcases, and the Funtastic Beer Garden.

Friday kicks off with a high‑energy DJ dance party, followed by an incredible Saturday lineup of live music and performances that will carry the festival spirit all day long.

Beyond Sundog Fest,North Okanagan Culture Days offers three weeks of events and experiences across the region. Local artists, cultural groups, museums, libraries, creative businesses, and community organizations open their doors to share workshops, demonstrations, performances, exhibitions, and behind‑the‑scenes experiences. Many events are free or pay‑what‑you‑may, making it easy for everyone to participate and discover something new.

Culture Days is also a wonderful way to get to know the organizations that shape our community and the incredible work they do year‑round. Whether you are meeting local makers, learning from cultural leaders, exploring youth creativity, or discovering new spaces and stories, each event offers a chance to deepen your connection to the people and places that make the North Okanagan vibrant.

With a packed schedule of activities spread across the region, visitors can build their own Culture Days adventure—sampling workshops, attending performances, exploring public art, or simply wandering into something unexpected and inspiring. It is an open invitation to be curious, try something new, and celebrate the creative spirit that defines our community.
