The Sundog Festival kicks off with an outdoor DJ Dance Party on Friday, September 18th in Polson Park—a vibrant, high‑energy celebration that sets the tone for the entire weekend. Attendees can expect an evening of dancing under the open sky, artisan vendors, food trucks, and the lively atmosphere of the Funtastic beer garden. This free, all‑ages gathering brings the community together to celebrate creativity, connection, and the start of two days of arts and culture to kick off Culture Days in Vernon.

The Arts Council of the North Okanagan is Vernon's hub for all things Arts and Culture, representing over 30 diverse member groups and over 3000 individual and family members.
ACNO is a registered charitable non-profit organization, and promotes hundreds of events throughout the year, provides opportunities for artists to show and sell their work, delivers arts education through the Vernon Community Arts Centre, and acts as an ambassador on behalf of all community arts based initiatives.
