Since its opening in 1977, the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts has been a focal point for cultural life in Oakville. This town-owned and funded facility, located at the heart of downtown, is dedicated to serving the performing arts needs of Oakville residents.

Our mandate is to provide the public with enriching experiences and performances from the cultural world, fostering an appreciation of the arts where culture inspires, engages, and thrives within the community. As the only professional quality performing arts venue in Oakville, we strive to be the heart of cultural expression and artistic engagement in the town.

The theatre hosts over 70 professional performances annually and supports an additional 230 performances presented by local community groups. With every seat within 55 feet of the stage, the theatre ensures an intimate and immersive experience for all patrons. The auditorium’s main stage has seating for 485, while the flexible studio theatre space accommodates between 112 and 150 patrons.
