Anvika Poray, celebrating the elegance and depth of this Indian classical dance form. Rooted in storytelling, Bharatanatyam combines expressive gestures (Bhava), melodic music (Raaga), and rhythmic patterns (Tala) to convey spiritual and mythological narratives. This presentation features a devotional piece dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, invoking his blessings through graceful movements, intricate footwork, and soulful expression. It is a tribute to tradition, artistry, and divine inspiration.

Prajakta Borse-Bharate is a trained Bharatantyam (South-Asian) dancer, teacher, and choreographer based in Oakville, Canada. She has more than 15 years of experience in teaching kids and adults in this dance discipline. She has trained under Guru Shumita Mahajan , Pune, India (Sadhana Nrityalaya). Through years of rigorous training, she emerged as a solo and ensemble performer and was part of many dance productions in India , USA, and Canada.

Just as yoga from India has gained global recognition, she, as a Bharatanatyam dancer, is striving—like many other dedicated artists—to contribute to the global appreciation of Indian classical art forms such as Bharatanatyam.
