À propos
Tabassum Bhat is a self‑taught artist from the Vale of Kashmir whose drawing practice centers on her ongoing series Life in Mono. Working primarily in charcoal with touches of graphite and ink, she creates intimate, emotionally charged works defined by strong contrast, rich texture, and a quiet sense of introspection. Nature is a continual source of inspiration in her pieces, alongside influences from artists she studies and reinterprets through her own techniques.
For Tabassum, art is both expression and purpose: every sale of her work supports orphaned children, a cause deeply meaningful to her. Her upcoming fall 2026 art talk at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex will offer insight into her monochromatic process and the personal motivations that shape her practice.
