Eco-Art Collage Workshop with Linny Jones

This is a workshop for artists, creative people and people who don't think they are creative to get both playful and methodical as they explore the art practice of collage making, using found, old, recycled and donated papers and materials. The artwork Linny creates centres around her work and experiences around the world and that's where a lot of their materials come from too; a candy wrapper becomes a tree, a receipt plus paint becomes a bird and so forth. Linny Jones will introduce participants to the concept of eco art, help to incorporate whatever random and found materials they bring to the workshop and also to support in the creation of their own charismatic collages. This is an all ages workshop but anyone under 15 must have a guardian in attendance and supporting their participation.

Tree of Life Studio is based in Paris, Ontario and is the home-base of Linny Jones, a fusion eco-artist who combines collage, paint and other materials to create vibrant and nuanced scenes and images. Linny travels around the globe, working in micro-economic development and women's economic empowerment and she collects materials along the way which she then incorporates into her unique artwork; passionate about sustainability, Linny features nature, especially trees, in rural and urban settings. An experienced teacher and facilitator Linny Jones has led workshops for adult learners across a range of venues, cultures and subjects.
