The Downtown Brockville BIA and the Wedgewood Retirement Residence are setting up a conversation pit with comfortable chairs, maybe a conversation bench, where you can relax and talk to others. It could be someone who is sharing their passion as a participant. Maybe someone craving some human contact. A young person sharing their aspirations or an older person relating their experiences.

No phones. No anonymous participants. No algorithm. The proverbial gathering around the pickle barrel. Maybe the start of something new and exciting. Or maybe just a pleasant break. It's all good. It's how we start building a community.

Downtown Brockville BIA represents the businesses and commercial properties located within our downtown boundary, which extends from Clarissa St. to Park St. west to east, and from James St. to the St. Lawrence River north to south. Within this area, we focus on enhancing the vibrancy, visibility, and overall experience of downtown through marketing, events, beautification initiatives, and business advocacy.
