À propos

How did children entertain themselves before TV, computers and the internet? For children visiting the event, they may be interested and curious about what life was like for children living in Proudfoot’s Hollow in the early nineteenth century. Toys from the mid-1800s will be introduced by Halton Heritage Services staff and tried by visitors. Children will have the opportunity to make their own thaumatrope – a popular optical illusion toys enjoyed during the Victorian period as well as play some of the more popular outdoor games like croquet, ring toss and corn hole.
