À propos

How do we photograph our travels? What do we want to remember, and why? This program hosted by the Royal Ontario Museum takes a close look at nineteenth century stereographs made in South Asia, which are photographs that when viewed through a device called the stereoscope, produce a three-dimensional effect.

Take a close look at these images to better understand why these images were created and what effect they have had on images of South Asia today.
