Artist Ray Ramjattan's offers the following insights about this exhibition:

"My work is inspired by my surroundings and incorporates the best of this beautiful country, as a town of Oakville employee my travels have taken me all over the town to various nooks and crannies and hidden gems and the vast amounts of green space and beautiful scenery which I try to capture in my work.

I focus on the landscapes themselves leaving out the people if any, to try and create a sense of liminality and isolation as well as one of nostalgia and timelessness.

As a native of Trinidad and Tobago I came to this country when I was young and have embraced it wholeheartedly and wish to portray the beauty and majesty I personally see, to others."
