À propos

As part of the Connextions 2025 project, see Sara Shogi's vinyl artwork, Neighbours of Nature, on display inside of Iroquois Ridge Community Centre.

Sara offers the following description of her work:

These artworks celebrate the spirit of Oakville by weaving together its rich natural environment, local wildlife, and cultural vibrancy. "Neighbours of Nature" captures beloved urban wildlife—raccoons, squirrels, and birds—framed by lush floral patterns, reflecting the community’s everyday encounters with nature and its quiet coexistence with the natural world.

About the artist:

Sara Shoghi is a Toronto-based mural and digital artist with a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Art, Media, and Design from OCAD University. Blending illustration with both digital and traditional media, her work explores the intersection of 2D and 3D forms. Inspired by personal narratives and social themes, Sara creates visually engaging, community-driven artworks that challenge perception and invite reflection.
