The Other Paris Fashion Week: The Debut

This is a pop up fashion show, that will showcase local Brant County Designers as well as Downtown Paris Fashion businesses. Fashion is such a huge part of culture, and we have such a beautifully diverse fashion scene! Everything from handmade one of a kind pieces, carefully curated vintage, upcycled awesomeness and even bridal! This event is completely free to attend and will pop up during the monthly Wincey Mills Outdoor market! There will be a designated “runway” with some seating available and lots of standing room. A few of the designers/businesses being showcased will also be set up in the outdoor market, so you can chat with them and browse their selection of products. Fashion is wearable art and a great way to uniquely express yourself and your cultural influences. We really hope that everyone will be inspired to be more expressive with their own fashion choices and perhaps discover something new and exciting!

Kara & Prinx Lydia are both local small business owners, who see the value in bringing the local fashion community together as well as celebrating that community and sharing what we have to offer Brant County. Our local small business community is so incredible and anything we can do to celebrate each other and bring more awareness to the Incredible artists and shops in downtown Paris. It really has become a destination, and “shopping in Paris” is gaining more and more popularity. We welcome new tourists from the GTA and beyond every week. An event like this is so special and really puts a spotlight on our local talent, and businesses. Paris may still feel like a “small town” but we really think it has the potential to have a Big City inspired fashion scene. The Other Paris Fashion Week is debuting this fall, and we think it could have the potential to be an annual event!
