À propos

The second night of the Sundog Festival of Arts and Culture will be a vibrant celebration of creativity, community, and cultural expression in Civic Memorial Park. As the sun sets over the heart of downtown Vernon, the atmosphere will come alive with a diverse lineup of live musical performances that will have audiences dancing and singing along. From high-energy funk and soulful ballads to genre-blending local talent, the music will reflect the rich cultural mosaic of the North Okanagan and beyond.

Cultural heritage carriers will open the evening with powerful drumming, dance, and song, honouring the land and sharing traditional knowledge. Their presence will offer a meaningful and grounding experience, reminding festival-goers of the deep Indigenous roots in the region.

Throughout Civic Memorial Park, the artisan market will buzz with activity as visitors explore a curated selection of handmade goods—from jewelry and textiles to ceramics and woodwork. Local and regional artists will share the stories behind their craft, creating opportunities for meaningful connections and conversations.

Live art demonstrations will add another layer of dynamic engagement with audiences gathering to watch the creative process unfold, gaining insight into the techniques and inspirations behind the work.

A delicious array of food trucks will line the park, offering everything from globally inspired street food to local favourites and sweet treats. Whether you're craving comfort food, plant-based options, or something new to try, the food vendors will ensure there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Together, the music, art, and cultural sharing will create an unforgettable evening that celebrates the vibrant spirit of community and the power of the arts to connect us all in the heart of Vernon.
