À propos
The Bancroft and Area Studio Tour is held every year over the last two weekends of September. For 35 consecutive years area residents, cottagers and visitors have mingled in this most intimate way to experience art. You are invited into 13 creative environments presenting 20 artists – painters, photographers, potters, woodcrafters, glass artists, printmakers, quilters and jewellers. It the perfect time to visit, during the peak of autumn colours.
Venues include lakeside, hilltop and woodland studio galleries; an outdoor terrace exhibit overlooking the downtown; the vintage Maxwell Settlement Schoolhouse, now a home studio; and another with the best possible view of High Falls.
You will step into the spaces where ideas are born, developed and refined. Our artists will share their stories and the inspirations behind each piece. Find yourself surrounded by works in progress, the tools, materials and the personality of the creative space. You will have the opportunity to take a home one-of-a-kind work paired with a deep connection to the human effort, imagination and dedication that brought it to life.

Bancroft & Area Studio Tour
Now in its 35th successful year, the Bancroft & Area Studio Tour provides an exciting opportunity to visit artists and artisans in their studios while touring through gorgeous North Hastings during the peak of the autumn colours. The participating artists have been carefully juried into the tour. They offer a wide range of handmade and uniquely creative works. Guests are welcomed into studios to meet the artists, view their creations and to purchase fine craft and art directly from the creators.
