À propos

Step into the world of Urdu storytelling in Social Emotional Learning Through Urdu Tales and Poetry, an interactive session designed for children and families to explore timeless lessons in empathy, resilience, and self-worth. This event features expressive readings, discussions, and engaging creative activities built around classic Urdu literature.

We will delve into Aik Pahaar aur Gulehri by Allama Iqbal, a poem that beautifully conveys the message that every being, no matter how small, has value and purpose. We’ll also explore Iqbal’s Aik Makra aur Makhi, which teaches children to be cautious of sweet talk and deceit. Additionally, selections from Gulistan by Saadi Shirazi, a classic Persian work loved in Urdu translation, will offer moral stories that highlight kindness, justice, and humility.

Participants can expect storytelling circles, Urdu calligraphy, character role-play, and a mini-poster creation activity where children can illustrate the lessons they’ve learned. The event is family-friendly, multilingual, and perfect for both heritage Urdu speakers and newcomers to the language.
