À propos

Join Midland Public Library for a virtual author talk with Bob Joseph as part of Indigenous Art and Culture Awareness Week. Tune in from the comfort of home or join a community viewing party at the library for this engaging and insightful discussion.

---

Indigenous Art and Culture Awareness Week is an initiative featuring various organizations within North Simcoe who wish to highlight the work of Indigenous creatives through various mediums, such as dance, food, literature, music, visual arts, and crafts.

Since its inception, the goal of Indigenous Art and Culture Awareness Week has been to promote and preserve Indigenous traditions, stories, and practices. This community-driven project creates authentic experiences, most of which are free, for residents and visitors to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Indigenous art and culture in North Simcoe.

The fifth Indigenous Art and Culture Awareness Week will take place from September 21 to 27, 2026. We invite you to join us in celebrating and honouring one of the many diverse cultures that shape Midland and the Heart of Georgian Bay.
