The Art Gallery of Regina has partnered with other organizations in our community to present events for people of all ages to connect with the land and ancestral knowledge through the work of KC Adams. Adams' exhibition owîceskoyakinikewak (s/he shapes clay or mud) integrates traditional/land-based ways of making with technology and is free to view at the Art Gallery of Regina until October 12, 2024.

During Culture Days 2024, we will present opportunities for adults and children to heal and connect to the land and water through digging and working with natural clay, considering the role of women as water keepers and discovering the little-known ceramic traditions of First Peoples of this area. Adams invites people to activate her ceramic objects through artist-built electronics that create sounds in response to participants holding hands. Adams will also speak about her career as a visual artist and projects that address stereotypes of Indigneous people.
