St. Catharines Museum & Welland Canals Centre Hub

The St. Catharines Museum & Welland Canals Centre is located at Lock 3 of the Welland Canal and includes the Welland Canal Viewing Platform, the St. Catharines Museum Exhibition Galleries and the Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame and Museum.

Explore the City's heritage and enjoy the day watching ships transit the Welland Canal in a tranquil park-like setting!

At the Centre you will also find:

Lock 3 Viewing Platform

Take the elevator to the third floor and exit directly onto the Lock 3 Viewing Platform for an up-close and personal view of the lock and the ships that traverse it.

Lockview Lounge

The Lockview Lounge, located on the second floor of the centre, provides a panoramic view of Lock 3 with comfortable seating.

Discovery Park

An outdoor picnic area, playground and our Discovery Park, filled with interesting artifacts and information about the Welland Canals.

You can also make the St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre your starting and stopping place for walking, biking, rollerblading and more on the Greater Niagara Circle Route and paved multi-use trail.
