Culture Days is coming to Wonderhub! Join us for a FREE celebration of culture and play with community partners offering various activity stations to enjoy with your family and friends! 🎉

This event will have the following stations with fun and educational activities:

⭐ Traditional Indigenous Games with Wanuskewin Heritage Park

Activities: Traditional Indigenous Games. In order to survive the challenging environment of the plains, children were taught survival skills in the form of games. Try your hand at playing some traditional games to practice your hunting, physical, and social skills during this interactive program.

⭐ Explore la francophonie avec une danse et un quiz avec La Fédération des Francophones de Saskatoon

Activities: Brenda will be presenting two types of dances (Folklore and Afro), and a quiz to learn more about Francophone culture. Brenda compte présenter la danse (folklorique et afro danse) et le quiz intitulé Explore ta francophonie.

⭐ Filipino Crafts and Games with Filipino Heritage School & Filipino-Canadian Association of Saskatchewan, Inc.

Activities: Traditional Filipino crafts and games such as Fan making, Sipa making and tutorial, Pabitin Craft, Maglalatik Dance.

⭐ World Play and Games with Saskatoon Open Door Society

Activities: Presenting a variety of board games and group games from all around the world!

⭐ Bannock Demonstration with Candace Longjohn-Constant

Activities: Candace will be doing a bannock demonstration that will include preparing dry ingredients and mixing in wet ingredients. Try it at home with a take home activity and recipe!

Taste testing of friend and baked bannock samples will be available for participants to enjoy.

⭐ Game On! with Nutrien Wonderhub Education Team

Activities: The Wonderhub Education Team will be bringing some backyard games from our popular Game On! exhibit to spark creativity, cooperation and critical thinking – all through the power of play!
