Organizer
Fall Celtic Festival Committee
The Fall Celtic Festival is an outdoor event showcasing Celtic culture, heritage, and arts within the community. The event features local Celtic musicians, food, crafts, language, folklore, art, history, sports…and more! It is a festival that exhibits how Irish heritage is deeply engrained in popular culture today and displays all the Celtic community has to offer the wider community. Irish cultural artists are featured in our event through the presentation of Celtic music on our main stage. We have Celtic bands perform on our stage, as well as young up-and-coming artists from local arts schools. Irish dancers from schools all over the GTHA and the northeastern US take to our stage for our Parade of Champions.
The local community is engaged through a celtic kids craft station, a face-painting booth, and Tourism Ireland offers promotional materials for Ireland travel. Our beer tent is staffed by a local brewery (Cameron’s) whose headquarters is steps away from our festival location.
Inside, the Oakville Feis and Crown and Rose Feis (Irish Dance competitions) that run alongside our festival brings in hundreds of North America's best Irish dancers, and students learning the art and competing for the first time. Spectators will be able to take in the competition as well as the festival for free and learn all about Celtic culture.
The goal is to highlight Celtic talent, promote Celtic heritage, and enhance Celtic culture within the community of Oakville, the Halton Region, and beyond.
