Toronto artist and Colourful Sounds founder Truss is a master of versatility- a singer, rapper, writer, producer, and audio engineer all rolled into one. He's been an audio engineer for the past 6 years after graduating from Trebas Institute in 2018. In 2021, Truss composed original music for Award-winning TV series “Sort Of”. This experience paved the way for other collaborative songwriting opportunities, including landing a sync on Director X’s critically acclaimed TV series “Robyn Hood”. Truss also had his song selected to be the festival theme song for The 34th Annual Toronto 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival “Inside Out”. Truss has performed across Canada and South America, as well as Europe; taking his audio setup with him wherever he goes. In 2023, he decided to launch his own organization, Colourful Sounds, to encourage other people of colour to get into live sound engineering. He just wrapped the first cohort of workshops last month (in August), and hopes that Colourful Sounds will continue to grow as he grows himself.
