About

Welcome to "Giggles and Laughs," a side-splitting all-ages improv show presented by the Richmond Improv Theatre Society! Join our talented troupe of improvisers for an unforgettable afternoon of laughter, perfect for the whole family.

In "Giggles and Laughs," every scene is completely made up on the spot based on audience suggestions, making each show a unique and spontaneous experience. Our quick-witted performers will craft hilarious situations, outrageous characters, and heartwarming stories that will leave you in stitches.

Audience participation is a crucial element of "Giggles and Laughs." You have the power to influence the direction of the show by offering suggestions for scenes and characters. Witness your ideas come to life on stage as our performers fearlessly take on your cues and turn them into comedic gold.

Beyond the laughter, "Giggles and Laughs" is about fostering creativity, teamwork, and the power of the human imagination. As you watch the performers collaborate, adapt, and create hilarious scenarios in real-time, you'll gain an appreciation for the art of improvisation and the magic that happens when talented minds come together.

Join us for a heartwarming, side-splitting experience!

Richmond Improv Theatre Society

Richmond Improv Theatre Society (RITS) started as just a couple of friends who just wanted to connect and make comedy around Richmond. But since its humble beginnings it has become a name stay in the community. From doing fundraisers like Laughter is the Best Medicine, to starting performance groups like TMPImprov, Extra Relish, and Bored of Directors. RITS aims to be the community hub for improv comedy in Richmond by providing equitable access to performances and classes so everyone in the Richmond community can participate. Richmond Improv Theatre Society is proudly supported by the City of Richmond Arts & Culture Project Assistance Grant.
