Afrisa Dance Workshop Friday, September 27th 6:00pm-7:00pm Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning, 370 King Street West, Kingston, ON Rehearsal Hall, 2nd Floor, Room 203 Afrisa with Abena Beloved is an upbeat dance class that introduces participants to modern west African music and dance called afrobeats. This class will also explore and incorporate movements from traditional Ghanaian dances for a more rooted understanding of the origins of the dance form. Learning outcomes: • Knowledge of main rhythms of afrobeats • Experience with foundation movements • Learning of fully choreographed dance * FREE Drop-in, pay what you can. Donations welcome at the door.
This event is free and will be accepting optional pay-what-you-may donations for admission.
