About
See Samuel Choisy's traffic signal box wrap "Lake Sunset" on display outside of Glen Abbey Community Centre.
Samuel offers the following description of his work:
"I have a special and sentimental relationship with the town of Oakville, as it's my first adopted Canadian city. I was living in Paris when I met June, a Canadian tourist from Oakville, Ontario, long story short: a year later I left everything behind to move here. I grew up as an artist in Oakville and then in Toronto, and I grew up as a man and a father thanks to my encounter with my partner, and I see this proposal as an offering in return. The photographs submitted for this project come from my latest body of work, which proposes a kaleidoscopic vision of abstract
landscapes obtained by photographing the interactions between paper cut-outs, painted or drawn marks and light patterns."

Town of Oakville
The Town of Oakville is located on Treaty 14 and 22 lands, the territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, and traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat and the Haudenosaunee. Oakville is home to many different First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. A vibrant and impressive community within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), the Town of Oakville is a beautiful lakeside town with a strong heritage, preserved and celebrated by residents and visitors alike. Since the 1800s, it has become one of the most coveted areas to live and work in Ontario, with 225,000 residents calling Oakville home. The town offers all the advantages of a well-serviced urban centre with first-rate facilities and amenities while maintaining its small-town feel.
