This workshop is inspired by MonkYi's new mural-in-progress located at Glen Abbey Community Centre - come make a button using illustrations inspired by Oakville plants and flowers!

MonkYi (Julia YH) is a muralist and illustrator born and raised in Toronto, with years of experience living and creating abroad. As a natural explorer and inspired by all ranges of human life, MonkYi's expressions are richly diverse to reflect the world around her, tied together with distinctive linework and bold colours.

MonkYi (Julia YH) is a participant of the 2024 CreateSpace Public Art Residency that is in partnership with Sustainable Thinking and Expression on Public Space (STEPS) and the Town of Oakville.
