About
Join us for a tree planting event at North Maple Regional Park (NMRP) a park over 20 years in the making! NMRP is set to be the largest park in the city, even bigger than New York's Central Park and twice the size of Toronto's High Park. Located on the Oak Ridges Moraine, it’s the source of the Don River and boasts significant ecological importance.
Help us enhance this natural treasure with the Treemendous Communities funding, which will support environmental restoration and long-term community planting. Your participation will contribute to the park's ecosystem and its future as a green haven for all residents.
Come plant a tree and be a part of Vaughan's Geen future!
A safety demo will be conducted before planting begins, so please arrive on time. Shovels will be provided.
To bring:
-Appropriate clothing (this event will be held rain or shine)
-Gardening gloves
-A filled reusable water bottle to stay hydrated
