About

A live stream virtual event called "Truth Hurts, Reconciliation Heals" broadcast live via Facebook and You Tube @grandmothersvoice

This Day brings all people together to remember the Children who attended the Indian Residential Schools. There were thousands of children who did not return home and those who did, carry these horrific memories and realities.

It is our duty and responsibility as a society to remember the sacrifices the children and the families have made for the development of this nation now called Canada.

The legacy of Indian Residential Schools has affected all of us. It will continue to infuse related acts of violence in our society until we all acknowledge they have been perpetuated as an extension of the foundation designed by the force of Genocide and assimilation.

It is time to acknowledge the value systems and ethical practices within the culture of Indigenous People. Our prophecies speak of this opportunity to bring about change in our world by embedding Indigenous ways of knowing back into our society. Ancestral wisdom to renew our systems of oppression, our self care and love for each other.

Come walk with us, stand in our circle, be in ceremony.

We are all one.

Contact [email protected] to learn more about how you, your communty, your organization or corporation can support this live streamed broadcast on September 29th or the in person walk at Country Heritage Park Milton on September 30th.

In love and peace.

Organizer

Grandmother's Voice

Grandmother's Voice is an organization that encourages and shares the message of Peace, Power, and Righteousness.

The Vision of Grandmother's Voice is to create a safe, secure community, a welcoming network where Elders and Knowledge Holders can share their wisdom and teachings.

A kind of safe space that will allow ways of locating like-minded individuals. Promote each other, share in healing and history created, relationships formed, and guidance provided.

Becoming a member through a vetted process encourages an integral community to protect our culture and our coming faces. Grandmother’s Voice Platform will give Indigenous Voices a chance to build community, market their gifts, their business, themselves, and their messages.
