The Shaw Artists' Villages creates a unique space for awakening the inner artist in all of us. As part of the All. Together. Now Campaign, the transformed buildings that used to make up the Upper Canada Lodge next door to our Festival Theatre have become spaces for education, training, artist housing, performance, and a new wardrobe construction workshop.
Your one hour tour includes a visit to the Burton Centre for Lifelong Creativity, a new home for Shaw's growing education and engagement programming and the spectacular Wardrobe Construction Shop, where the fabulous costumes you see on stage come to life.

The Shaw Festival
With 12 or more productions each year performed in three theatres for an audience of more than 350,000, the Shaw Festival is a major Canadian cultural icon, a gem in this country’s rich cultural heritage. Inspired by the wit and passion of Bernard Shaw, the Shaw Festival is a contemporary theatre that features a smart, provocative, potent and diverse mix of plays from the past and present, performed by a celebrated repertory theatre Ensemble. The result is theatre that is challenging, surprising, often funny and always entertaining. These plays are lovingly and artfully brought to the stage each year by a talented team of actors, directors, and designers, showcasing the incredible tapestry of talent that this country contributes to the world.
To complement its world-class performances, this season the Shaw Festival will offer more than 5,000 Beyond the Stage events, classes and activities for people of all ages. Programming includes Positive Aging events, Arts Education for children and youth, Backstage Tours and Artist Conversations, Coffee Concerts, Speakeasies, What’s In Your Songbook, Gospel Choir, Perfect Pairing Concerts, Pop-Up Patios and so much more.
Through its All.Together.Now. campaign, The Shaw is creating new spaces and programs where people can build real human connections and rediscover their creativity.
