About
Listen to Dis' founder Traci Foster will lead another inclusion-focused workshop rooted in a creative and physical approach to voice. Traci is Canada's first certified Fitzmaurice Voicework™ instructor who explores her work through somatic art with a focus on where awareness, intuition, and action intersect. She has taught in Saskatchewan, Toronto, Vancouver, and Los Angeles.
Participants will be led through a series of exercises, using voice as a first impulse, to learn in a safe and nurturing environment. This work will help develop your body and voice to vibrantly express and communicate with ease and pleasure in everyday life and as a creative professional. There will be a focus on, and discussions of, maintaining embodied presence throughout the workshops. All work is trauma informed and is situationally adapted so everyone feels safe and welcome.
After the success of last year's BE HEARD culture days workshop, and the wonderful response we receive from the community each time we offer similar events, we would love to keep the positive momentum and impact going!
"I have never felt supported and safe in all my life. My voice feels so open and free. We should all be so lucky as to experience this 'birthright' as Traci Foster call it." 2023 BE HEARD participant
Light refreshments will be provided. For more information, or any access needs, please email [email protected].
